This post marks my first deviation from my standard "descriptive" blog posts. Instead, I'm going to try writing letters to my families for their sneak peek, rather than attempt to summarize them in words. So, with that, a letter to a very special woman indeed....
Dearest L,
First off, how touched I was when you reached out to get photos this year! I was thrilled to have the opportunity to capture you and your family again. You four are stunning. See? Your kiddos are so goofy and sassy and fun, and even though they kept me hustling around like mad, their energy indisputably spread their contagious joy. I know weighing the pros and cons of different locations felt a touch overwhelming, but I think returning to the reservoir for photos - and finding it to be so lush and colorful - was quite fitting indeed.
I loved that you were so clear about knowing what you wanted from your session (and yet still indulged my artsy hand-leaf photo at the end;-) ). How ridiculously bad.... buns*do you all look here? Truly, you radiate light.Meeting you and your family last year was quite a gift: I love that through a painful ending this new connection with your deeply beautiful family began.
So grateful to be your photographer again.
