So, this tiny one here is officially the first newborn I’ve ever photographed that arrived ON his Momma’s birthday! That’s right, little Chase here came two weeks early as a surprise birthday present and now they will be celebrating together every year!

And this amazing little outfit that he is slightly swimming in? His grandma made for his dad to wear when he was a newborn. The knitting skill is stunning, and the details include teeny-tiny buttons on the backs of the booties that are functional versus decorative. I love when families have these sort of heirloom hand-me-downs – truly a special element to add to any newborn session.

And here's (almost) the whole family! (Chase also has an older fur sibling, sweet kitty Trouble, who, living up to her name, did not make including her in the photos particularly easy)
