The Experience
When you hire me, you’re not just bringing a photographer in to capture this time in your life, you’re getting a fellow parent who has survived those sleepless nights, struggled with accepting a complete life shift of time and identity, anguished over feeding dilemmas, and marveled at the amazement and loneliness, exhaustion and joy that parenting brings.
After you've decided I'm the perfect photographer for your family, we'll plan a phone call to customize all the different aspects of your session - from deciding on the perfect location and time of day (we do our best to plan around nap schedules) to discussing your outfits, I am here to help make this go as smoothly and stress-free as possible! And if you are in the camp of "please someone else just make all the decisions I am completely overwhelmed/too busy/love photos but don't care about clothing" then I get that too! I will happily make you a pinterest board of custom clothing ideas, or look over a variety of options you send me via text or email and give you feedback about what will photograph the best.
Finally, a few weeks after your session, we'll get together one more time so we can look over your gallery together and figure out the perfect way for you to enjoy your photos. From creating a custom canvas or wall display, to selecting the perfect color silk for your heirloom album, I will ensure that you receive not just digital files from your session, but gorgeous tangible artwork that you can enjoy every day.
By the end of all this, it's quite possible we'll be friends. I've been known to meet client-turned-friends ("Cliriends? Frients?") for coffee/drinks, chocolate consumption, or actual food. One time I met up with cliriends at a concert and the book club I'm in now? Yup. Invited by a dear cliriend.
Love,
Ceilidh
